Key words: cerebrovascular pathology, laser-therapy.

In the course of the study we supervised 111 patients with cerebrovascular pathology (Table 1), associated with ischemic heart disease, diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, carotid stenosis and cardiomyopathy. All the patients underwent routine examinations: X-ray; echocardiography; ultrasonography; serological, neurophsycological and laboratory testes. Seventy-four patients received basic therapy, combined with laser-therapy   (intravenous helium-neon and local infra-red laser on extracerebral major vessels), and 37 - only basic therapy.

The results indicate us that addition of the laser-therapy gives the best recovery effects, that is manifested in optimization of circulatory interaction between the heart and brain on micro- and macromolecular, cellular, tissue and vascular levels. Practical implementation of this method is important for prophylaxis and preventive treatment in this group of patients.
