New  Methods  of  the   Topical   Diagnosis   of    the   Accessory   Pathways   in   Patients  with   Wolff  - Parkinson  -  White  Syndrome

The study  involved  57  patients  with  Wolff  - Parkinson  -  White  syndrome   aged  21 - 63  years   (35 men and 22 women)  with  frequent  episodes  of  paroxysmal  tachyarrhythmias.  All patients underwent invasive electrophysiological study with subsequent catheter radiofrequency ablation of accessory pathways.  Before operation all patients underwent transesophageal electrophysiolo­gical examination of the heart.  Tables for topical diagnosis of the accessory pathways localization were made on the basis of the results of detailed endocardial mapping.  Both  invasive  and  noninvasive  methods were used.
