Key words: pulpitis, enzyme, plasma therapy.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of pulpitis combination treatment with Enzymes and high temperature ionized gas - plasma stream.

During the 2 yr - period 50 pts (aged 10-25 yrs, females - 35, males - 15) diagnosed with acute focal pulpits and accidental perforation of pulp cavity were treated.

The patients were divided into two groups:

Gr. 1 - 25 patients, treated according to the scheme elaborated by us, namely, we combined fundamental therapy and high-temperature gas – plasma stream. Gr. 2 -  25 patients treated according to the same scheme, however, physiotherapeutic method here were not used.

The results were estimated by clinical and laboratory (electrodental diagnostic, radiovisiografic) methods and fully coinside with the literary data, namely that action of plasma stream in combination with fundamental therapy significantly strengthens the tissue oxygenation, regulates calcium and phosphorus stimulation, causes mobilization of defense resourses, immune system stimulation that result in activation of regeneration.

Based on all mentioned above, we recommend the method of biological treatment to be used in acute local pulpitis and accidental opening of pulp cavity, according to the above given scheme.

Taking into account the anatomic and physiologic peculiarities of pulp in children and high reactivity of growing organisms the method is particularly recommended for children.
