Tamar
Decanosidze is the Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honoured
Scientist, Head Pathologiist of Georgia, Chairwomen of the National
Biology Council, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of
Georgia, Founder and the Full Member of the Georgian Academy of Medical
and Bio-medical Sciences, the tutor of several generations of georgian
phisicians, Bearer of the Order of Honour of Georgia - she really deserves
all this orders and awards. And today the Title of the Honourary Citizen
of the City of Tbilisi - the expression of real divotion and deep love -
was added to the list of awards. The Title was dedicated to this day - the
anniversary of her birthday. The
Editorial Board of the Journal joing all those who sent their
congratulations from all regions of Georgia. We
congratulate the famous scientist and honourable compatriot with this
remarcable jubilee and wish her success and longlasting creative
activities.

The
credo of the whole life of Prof. Tamar Decanosidze was and is civic duty,
service to the people the highest professionalizm, real beauty and pride,
unusual energy and modesty. At any time of a day the door of her office is
wide open for patients, her pupils and collegues, for all those who search
for help, advice and warm attention. Today up to 400 PhD and MD theses
have been mentained under the support and guidance of Prof. T. Decanosidze.
