The
authors tell us about Prof. D. Pletnyov and his brilliant career of one of
the greatest clinicians and internists of the 20th century, that was
interrupted by those who envied him – D. Burmin, V. Vinogradov,
Shereshevsky and A. Vishinsky. The execution of an innocent man – Dr. D.
Pletnyov,during the “great Terror” in 1937-1938 – is one of the most
shameful acts of 20th century. The complete rehabilitation of the innocent
victim occurred in 1985 due to the efforts of E.G. Popov, N.R. Paleev, G.S.
chuchalin. Today the name of Prof. D. Pletnyov is placed among the names
of the greatest internists and cardiologists of the humanity.
