The 69th congress in Manhaim was dedicated to the problem of heart failure. The congress attended participants from European countries and USA. The European association of cardiologists together with American, English and French colleagues carried out number of international symposiums. The essential topics of discussion were path physiologic mechanisms of heart failure and modern ways of its treatment, implementation of guidelines in clinical practice, work out common recommendations for interventive cardiology and the role of prevention in the correct treatment of cardiovascular dieses. Georgia was represented by two participants: The president of Georgian association cardiologists Prof. Vakhtang Chumburidze and the member of the association M.D. T. Kikalishvili. Prof. Chumburidze’s report dealt with the present situation of Cardiology in Georgia and the prospects of integration of Georgian Cardiologists with the international community. The most important topics discussed at the congress were: creating special, united program of accreditation, that was handed to all the participants for discussion; cooperative search, prospects and possibility of future investment the different ways of treatment for definite diseases. Simultaneously with meeting there was hold the workshop for German pharmaceutical companies and medical equipment.
