It is a 4 levels, high technology medical institution for 196 beds, with outpatient, diagnostic, and referral services. The Center has surgical, therapeutic, perinatal, ortho-traumatologic, diagnostic/paraclinical, and emergency services. The mission and strategy of the State National Center are the initiation of the high quality and high technology medical service to maximally improve medical care for patients – its mission can be expressed in such words “Hospital for Patients”. The Government of Georgia, Municipal of the City of Tbilisi, the Government and the people of Japan, World Bank, the International Development Agency and the International Health Union of the USA, the Japanese International Co-operation Agency, and the NGO Counteract International took active part in financial support and equipment of the State National Medical Center.
