On December 2, 2003 the first conference of Georgian
Association of Gastroenterologists and Hepatologists was held in
Tbilisi. Amiran Gamkrelidze, Minister of Labour, Social Well-fare and
Public Health, Acad. Albert Tavkhelidze, President of the Academy of
Sciences of Georgia; Prof. Tengiz Tsertsvadze, Director of the
Infectious Pathology, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Scientific and
Practical Center, Gerald Kioshi, International Trial Director of the
USA-JoeAnn Center and Director of the Fogart International Center; David
Lenderman, Director of the Co-operative grant Program of the CRDF; Mr.
Robert Torato, Director Director of the Program for the Development of
Biotechnologies; James Boner, Vice-Director of the Caucasian office of
the International Development Agency of the USA and scientists of the
Caucasian regions participated in the Symposium. |
