Injury of Cardiovascular System in Children with Diabetes Mellitus –type

Our aim was the investigation of cardiovascular system injury in children with diabetes mellitus 27 patients, aged from 7 to 15 years with diabetes mellitus of type 1, hospitalized in the endocrinological department of pediatric clinic of TSMU were investigated. 11 patient were studied during the manifestation period (1 group), the duration of disease was 5 years for 9 patient (2. group), the duration of disease was 10 years for 7 patient (3. group). 10 healthy patient of the same age were in the control group. The electrocardiography and echocardiograpy were done. The analysis shows, that Echo findigs are less informative for first group. The cardiac rhythm disorders occur most frequently for the second group: sinus tachycardia, rarely sinus bradycardia, sometime left ventricular hypertrophyoccurs. On early stage of left ventricular hypertrophy the most informative are: R-wave amplitude in V4- v6 and deep’s in the right chest lead( V1- V2). The alert Echo findings of hypertpophy occur rarely with diabetes mellitus and have on diagnostic value. The small voltage of Echo findings, ST segment deression, 1-wave inversion, the marked U-wave in standart and left chest leads, invacative the dilatative cardimyopathy, occur for the patients of third group. The left lentricular diastolic function changes were observed on the echocardiograms for the move 5 years duration of disease. It was expressed by increasing of peak and integral speed of trasnmitral flow. The intensivity of this processes was parallel with duration of disease. The tendency of left ventricular hypertrophy was observed in the third group ( the duration of disease was more then 10 years). |
